An account of the World War II campaign in Morocco and Algeria. Operation Torch, as it was called, became a proving ground where American officers learned to lead, soldiers learned to hate, and an entire army learned what it would take to defeat a formidable enemy.

An exceptionally thorough account of the entirety of the Allied North African campaign. The only thing missing, really, was a discussion on the Axis powers conquering the territory in the first place. A few of the battles were glossed over a bit more than I felt they should have been. But, over all quite good.

Really well written and narrated. Only problem is, the recording or the playback is damaged. Misses a word about every 2 or 3 seconds. Very difficult to listen to.
I told them at the checkout counter and they made a note, but on renewing it, it's still screwed up.

Too bad, it's a good listen, otherwise.
