This 50-minute documentary takes a close-up look at the life and artistic career of 16th century, Belgium painter, Peter Paul Rubens.

Rubens is widely considered to be one of the most outstanding and influential baroque painters of all the noteworthy Dutch masters.

Many of Rubens' religious-themed works had been commissioned by the Catholic church.

This biographical presentation also includes interviews with art historians.

Born (1577) in Antwerp, Belgium - Peter Rubens (who is well-known for his bold approach towards colour and brushwork) is widely considered to be one of the most influential Flemish artists of the elegant baroque tradition.

Through interviews with art historians - This 50-minute bio-documentary (presented by Kultur International) takes a close look at the life and work of Peter Rubens.

*Note* - In 1640 - Peter Rubens (62 at the time) died of heart failure.
