This movie really makes you think and I could see this as a great film to open up dialogue and discuss perceptions about a sensitive subject. Some of the verbal information is contradicting -- for example Susan Tom said none of the scenes were filmed and aired without the children's permission -- however in one scene Joe tells the camera person to F-off or he will break the camera (hm....). I agree that Susan Tom is a very caring person -- however I do agree as one of her sons said that she took on too much and that some of her children suffered as a consequence of the environment -- as a song says sometimes Love isn't enough.

Fascinating documentary. Heartbreaking at times, but overall uplifting. It's a must to watch the extra features (interviews, deleted scenes). Very well done.

Amazing. The story of a woman with 13 kids, most of whom are disabled, some life-threateningly so. The family isn't perfect, but it's strikingly courageous (and hard-working!). I recommend it.
