This is another enjoyable book by David Levithan. Danny and Elijah had been closer when they were younger, despite the seven year age difference between them. After they drift apart, their parents trick them into taking a trip to Italy together. They travel through Venice, Florence, and Rome together. The plot is fairly straightforward, with the brothers annoying each other, reconnecting, examining their own lives, and fighting over a girl. The descriptions of each city are vivid, with the brothers’ reactions to the sites being the best parts of the books.
