An example of why I love Korean films -- the ones we see here, anyway. Save the Green Planet could have been a conventional police drama, but instead piles invention on invention and swings fearlessly between tones and genres. It also steals outrageously from Psycho, Silence of the Lambs, Killer's Kiss, and heaven knows what else, yet still manages to stay true to itself. If I didn't made this clear, Green Planet is at least half comedy. But it is very earthy comedy, and the violent parts are very graphic. Highly recommended for manga fans.
