You might think to yourself, "a documentary about domes? Boring!" - but you'd be completely mistaken. This is a good, short, documentary with author David McCaulay, and based on his book. Much better than the book because it moves. The book had static pen and ink drawing. Here, in the film, we get to see real life structures in real life color and perspectives; our understanding enhanced by the drawings and computer-generated graphics.
McCaulay has other books - I wish they would all be made into short documentaries like this one. It enhanced my understanding of domes and the mathematical, architectural, engineering and social/cultural aspects. Well done.
