I watched this film a second time and each showing revealed a greater depth. Some scenes are shown two or three times. At first they seem to be exactly the same, but on my second viewing I noticed the subtle changes. It was not simply deja vu, it was the writer's way of showing that witnesses can only remember subjective and partial truth. That, to me, sets this movie apart as profound and subtle drama.
[The accompanying short film on this Film Movement disc is brilliant]
