This is not an introductory book, it has tons of practical examples and very specific information. I loved it but if you're just getting familiar with the method, pick another title before this one.

As with another comment, the author has a slightly elitist style of writing that makes it a bit difficult to want to delve deep into the book.

There are a ton of other Montessori books that are written better, but this one does have some good stuff.
