Good resource for children in primary grades and as a read-aloud for younger children. Colorful, interesting photographs illustrate the informative text. A large font and plenty of white space, bits of color and well-placed, captioned photos make this book visually appealing. Appendices offer suggestions for further reading and research, including books and websites. A brief glossary of "important words" from the text and a 1-page index round out the book. Appropriate for both research and leisure reading.
