A mother gains her children back from the witch's curse because she knows them well. An interesting story with intricate illustrations. We enjoyed the story.

As a teacher, I often read to pre-schoolers and primary age children. Heggety Peg if far and away the most loved story in every group. I have run across very few children who did not want to hear it again (and again and again). Best story to practice the days of the week. The paintings by Don Wood are outstanding and children really enjoy them.
