I wish I'd read these wonderful mysteries in order. Still, they are well worth reading however you can get them. In this third outing, Father John and Arapaho attorney Vicky are on the same side as usual--opposed to the big corporation that wants to build a nuclear waste dump on the Wind River Rez. Sure, the jobs would be a boon, and the environmental impact statement looks harmless enough. But things are not what they seem, and two murders, and the attempts to kill Vicky when she protests, make the corporation look even more like the bad guys to Vicky and John. But most of those who can vote want the jobs. How will it go?
