This 94-minute National Geographic documentary revives the wild dream of George Mallory. In 1999, renowned American mountaineer Conrad Anker made a discovery that reverberated around the world. He found the body of George Mallory 75 years…

This is a Reader's Digest version of Mallory on Everest. It does not go into detail about the three expeditions from 1921 to 1924. Instead the focus is upon Conrad Anker who found Mallory's body in 1999. Even that isn't treated in detail…

Overall, I enjoyed this film. I would advise you to skip the interviews in the extras. Somewhat interesting, but very repetitive. Not a lot of facts that were unique; most had been covered by the documentary already.

Wonderful footage for those of us who will never travel to the top of the world. But the narration and many of the shots are extremely, extremely SLOW. At 1.5 speed it is watchable. Most important part is the final 20 minutes. Read Into…

Made me do several out loud 'Wows' because of the great photography. Informative historical background, too!

This is an interesting documentary, however, they really go all out making things dramatic and reading into the minds of Mallory and Irvine. A little much at times. Very interesting to see the difference in gear between the two groups.

Very awesome doc, the breathtaking views pun intended. Good use of narration using celebrities. Though the features are long as the movie, good to see. Good movie for the adventure athlete at heart.

A window into George Mallory's obsession with Everest and the struggle and determination that got him so close to the peak, but ultimately to his death. For what? 'Because it's there' ....hmmm Beautiful imagery.

Great film. Very interesting look at the psyche of top-rate mountain climbers. Different breed of folk.

Exceptional documentary with fine cinematography, exploring the history of George Mallory and Sandy Irvine, and the question about if they managed to summit Everest in 1924 before vanishing into a storm. The documentary also follows Conrad…

The parts about Mallory's ascent are interesting and there are many breathtaking visuals. The modern story of the guy trying to duplicate Mallory's feat is less interesting.
