This box set includes the 2 "Mermaid Avenue" albums, a third disc of outtakes, a DVD about the making of the albums, and liner notes by Woody Guthrie's daughter, Nora, who instigated the project.

Yes, yes, YES!!! to this album! I am kind of freaking out about how good it is! The timeless songs and spirit of Woody Guthrie live on, and even modern 'kids' who have no idea who he was can get into this album. Those of us who already know and love Guthrie feel like we connect with him all over again. I want to give Billy Bragg and WIlco a trophy for having the guts to tackle Woody's songs because the result is so phenomenal!
Disc 4 is a pretty interesting DVD about the making of the album.
