Item Details

"What if Darth Vader took an active role in raising his son? What if 'Luke, I am your father' was just a stern admonishment from an annoyed dad? In this hilarious and sweet comic reimagining, Darth Vader is a dad like any other-- except with all the baggage of being the Dark Lord of the Sith. Celebrated artist Jeffrey Brown's delightful illustrations give classic Star Wars moments a fresh twist, presenting the trials and joys of parenting through the lens of a galaxy far, far away. Life lessons include lightsaber batting practice, using the Force to raid the cookie jar, Take Your Child to Work Day on the Death Star ('Er, he looks just like you, Lord Vader!'), and the special bond shared between any father and son" -- from publisher's web site.

Jeffrey Brown’s - Darth Vader and Son, clearly mislabelled as an Adult – Graphic Novel & Comic. It should have been rated as Juvenile. Hilarious; should be rated for children but teens and adults will find it funny too. Doctor-at-Bass! T. A.

This is so funny. Parenting is the real danger in Vader's life here, and it is fraught with peril.
My only complaint is that this is more for parents than kids.

This is one of the cutest books that I have ever read. If you can recognize the words Star and Wars, This is a book for you. Honestly, it is a family fun book. I'm fourteen, I loved. So did my Mom, my Dad, my 7 year old brother, and my 11 year old sister. It is for ALL AGES!

READ IT!!!!!!!

I found this charming and fun, even for a casual-at-best Star Wars fan.

It's so funny! And so cute! And so clever! I laughed out loud several times while reading this one.

This collection of cartoons chronicles the life that Darth Vader might have had he raised Luke. Every page is a typical parenting situation tackled by an evil Sith Lord who has access to the power of the force. Silly, whimsical and just plain fun, this is a must have book for the Star Wars fan. Especially if you are a parent.

A short, charming graphic novel for fans of Star Wars, parents of small boys, or (in my case) neither.
