I feel bad for the trees that had to die to make this mundane book. There were a few chuckles, but this "book" is, thankfully, not memorable.

This book was very relatable and the dialogue flowed like an intimate chit-chat with a friend about body-issues and societal expectations. I think the 'boring' parts that other commenters are refereing to are those in which she elaborates about the struggles in her career. I loved those parts the most because they were inspirational.

I would reccommend this book to teens and young women.

I wanted a book that would make me laugh out loud. This was not it. There were some amusing moments, but overall it was dull.

I LOVE Mindy Kaling, but the book wasn't quite as funny as I thought it was going to be. Still entertaining, but I think Kelly Oxford's book "Everything Is Perfect When You're A Liar" was better.

This is a great summer read! I took it on vacation last summer and loved it. I laughed, it made me feel good about myself, but mostly I liked feeling that I was in on a joke with a good friend.

This book was great! It offers a lot of encouragment to girls who are overweight, or have been bullied about their weight. It took me a month to read, because some parts were REALLY boring, but if you like Mindy, you will LOVE the book! 4 1/2 stars!

Witty and entertaining. Exactly what you would expect from Mindy Kaling. Reads quickly.

This book is fantastic if you like the author in the first place. I like her a lot and enjoyed her essays and anecdotes. Don't go in expecting a masterpiece. This is good easy reading, as she explains in the preface. I don't know why so many people are expecting something different.

I'm getting made fun of because I used to be fat? The laws of bullying allow you to be cruel even when the victim had made strides for improvement? This is when I realized that bullies have no code of conduct.
