Add a CommentFlorence Welch's voice is simply amazing. And The Machine is pretty good, too, even if they occasionally seem to fall back on Welch's voice in lieu of interesting or well-crafted arrangements. This is a strong debut overall, but it does have its weak moments.
YOU SHOULD NOT LISTEN TO CEREMONIALS WITHOUT LISTENING TO THIS FIRST!!! GREAT ALBUM !!!
Florence and the Machine just has this way of totally capturing your heart and holding onto it while it encases your senses with meaningful lyrics and deep beats that say with you even when the song is over. I hope that Florence continues making music for many more years to come.
Just recently discovered this artist, but I'm totally hooked. Her voice is incredible, but the songs are musically and thematically complex as well. It's difficcult to compare this group to anyone else, which to me is the mark of a truly original artist. Definitely worth a listen.

What a voice! There's no doubt why Florence was chosen to sing in Aretha Franklin's Grammy tribute.
I am so in love with Florence! Her music just speaks to me in a way that other artists just fail to do. My absolute favourite tracks on this album are "Drumming song", "Cosmic love" and "Rabbit heart", and they are continuously played at home. Excellent, excellent, excellent!
