One of my top 10 for infants, toddlers and even preschoolers. The lyrical prose is perfect. As infants get older, we start to find the mouse on each set of pages, and eventually move on to such things as colors, counting, pairs and time on the clocks. I have developed hand movements and sounds that go with the book that engage my preschoolers even more. A wonderful book by itself, and a wonderful teaching tool for introducing learning concepts.

Goodnight Moon is a book that reaches into the mind of a child where they like to say and find it essential to say goodnight to everything before actually going to sleep. The tone of the book is very calm and calms children right down. I highly recommend it for any child and also for mature readers alike. It is such a classic, good book that any aged person reading it won't even be the slightest bit ashamed. Go ahead and read it!

Love to read this with the Beach Boys "Rockabye" CD in the background. It really sets the mood.

Awesome book for the little ones. I used to read it to both of my kids. Then they started to read it to me. Now, we passed it on to a friend with a 6 month old bouncing baby boy.

What a classic! My kids had this over and over - and still couldn't get enough! They love spotting the little mouse in each picture.
