4.5 Stars ⭐️ I honestly should let this one sink in before writing an entire review about it but I almost can’t help myself- I feel like I need to relieve my brain of the thoughts on this book so that it can release the strong hold it…

Gone Girl had a difficult first half of the literary arc dealing with dysfunctional marrieds, but the struggle to keep reading finally seized me the reader ("fake if until you make it"), becoming an extrodinary exhibition of literary craft…

I wasn't expecting to be hooked by this almost-500-page tome, but once I was there was no going back. I think I changed sides about five times throughout--the author keeps you guessing at who the real villain is. A bit haunting but insane…

"Gone Girl" by Gillian Flynn is a psychologically charged thriller that immerses the reader into the turbulent life of its protagonists, Amy and Nick Dunne. Amy's sudden and unexplained disappearance sets in motion a chain of events that…

I really loved this book! I think it was very interesting to read because of how psychological it was, although the plot was predictable at times. Amy's diary entries were always my favorite to read. It does get a little frustrating and…

I’m not gonna lie, a lot of this book was really boring. It serves a purpose, but it feels mundane going through Amy’s life at the motel and Nick’s investigation. Yes, both Nick and Amy suck but what brings the rating of this book up is…

I can see why this book was so successful and why publishers kept wanting to call other books "the next Gone Girl" even if they had very little in common with it. The narrators shift slowly but seamlessly from their surface personas to…

I loved this book - it was the very first modern day twisty/thriller I have read and found it so genius in the plot twists. For example, the draining of the toilet....who can think of these things?

"Amy Dunn vanishes on the fifth anniversary of her marriage. All of the evidence subsequently found points to her husband, Nick, being complicit in some way. Is he the one who killed her? Was she abducted? Amy, what happened to her? One…

I've never done this before, but I read the entire book except for the last 50 pages, it did not even seem worth it. Full disclosure: I read this after I saw the movie, so it was a bit "spoiled" for me. The problem for me was that none of…

I didn’t enjoy this as much as Sharp Objects, the narrative felt slow at points, but overall this is still a great story. Disturbing in all the blatant and subtle ways a good thriller should be.

This mystery ended with the worst possible conclusion of any book I have ever read. It wasn't worth the time getting to the end.

How come it happens so often. Beginning of the story builds characters I can see. Even the mystery of a disappearance was intriguing. Suddenly the author seems to stretch pages. Ridiculous ending So disappointing. 3 1/2 was generous

I read this book because it was on Listopia's list of 300 books everyone should read once. I think it belongs there. I laughed so hard at it. It was one of the best books i have read in a long time. Absolutely crazy, and very entertaining.

Absolutely brilliant & mesmerizing. I totally get what all the hype was about now. And that spoiled, selfish, lying, cheating, self-absorbed creep got exactly what he deserved. Yay, Amy! You go, girl! I loved it.

When Amy Dunne disappears, police suspect her husband Nick. Well, I understand why this was the "it book" a few years back. Somehow I managed to remain unspoiled so I was able to enjoy this book immensely. The first half of the book is…
