Senior citizens in England relocate to the Best Exotic Marigold Hotel in Bangalore, India after seeing advertisements describing it as a little bit of England from the past. What they find is a rather shabby hotel with a questionable staff in a challenging country with different, confusing customs. Charming, amusing and poignant, the novel has engaging well-developed characters with a story that surprises as it develops. I am looking forward to viewing the film to see how it compares with the story.Senior citizens in England relocate to the Best Exotic Marigold Hotel in Bangalore, India after seeing advertisements describing it as a little bit of England from the past.
